During last years different projects have been developed in GFC Chimica’s labs. Some of them have been financially supported by public funds. Some others have been developed on behalf of private companies.
GFC Chimica worked on the use Nanoparticles of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate in Plasters and Mortars. The study was developed on behalf of world famous Solvay and Macri Chemicals, an italian company.
Nanotechnologies are – in GFC vision – the door to the future of the coting filed. That’s why the company is working on the use of different kinds of nanoparticles in paint and varnishes, in fields like photoreactions, photocathalysis and photoluminescence.
Since year 2010 GFC Chimica is involved in a European Union funded project whose goal is the determination of toxicity of nanoparticles during the lifetime of a paint.
